Rugby practice

oil on panel 6x9"
felt very privileged when i wondered into this little scene last evening.
the rugby pitch in Builth Wells, with the very last burst of the low sun,
the sounds of the boys killing each other...
and all i had to do was quickly put down some colors
.

You did very well to catch this in the time available Rob. It's a lovely little late summer evening scene.

Saw this on Saturday but didn't have time to comment - had to go and watch SA lose to Aus in the Tri Nations! Another great painting Rob.

The lovely quality of light belies the violence of the game. My son plays rugby and I cringe every time I see him play.

hum yes davida i rather watch it than play it...
