car park blossom

oil on canvas 7x9"

late in the day,i was on my way,
finding some bluebells to paint,
didn't get further than the parking lot,
this little perky blossom was winking at me...so...
i'm such a softy!

"Car Park Blossom" with the gray of the building behind speaks poetry and of spring. The modern day location and title is a slice of the real world. I am inspired by your atmospheric rendering.

You must get some odd reactions from passers-by who hadn't previously noticed the scenic splendour of that parking lot... This is just lovely!

LOL. It is perky, and beautifully lit against those neutral shadows. Just saw your other "speedy" blogs. You are one prolific, fab painter, Rob!

Your such a softy Rob, ...

I like the little fellow, although
to be honest (and I know you are not looking for only nice comments), I find it a little too much, the grey building with the windows, the lovely silhouette of the church on the left and the three larger trees the divides the painting into two btw. and the fence, .... and that all in a 7x9er!

There is almost enough for at least 4 paintings here ;-)

i agree the trees could have been better placed rene, thought the blossom would offset it all
but to much?? i mean the church is just a silhouette and there's hardly any detail...
depending on the light...100 paintings!
thanks for your thoughts rene
