here and there
"Car Park Blossom" with the gray of the building behind speaks poetry and of spring. The modern day location and title is a slice of the real world. I am inspired by your atmospheric rendering.
You must get some odd reactions from passers-by who hadn't previously noticed the scenic splendour of that parking lot... This is just lovely!
LOL. It is perky, and beautifully lit against those neutral shadows. Just saw your other "speedy" blogs. You are one prolific, fab painter, Rob!
Your such a softy Rob, ...I like the little fellow, althoughto be honest (and I know you are not looking for only nice comments), I find it a little too much, the grey building with the windows, the lovely silhouette of the church on the left and the three larger trees the divides the painting into two btw. and the fence, .... and that all in a 7x9er! There is almost enough for at least 4 paintings here ;-)
Beautiful work, Rob! Great feeling of atmosphere.
you make it sound so good dianethe gry building was a major attraction setting of the blossomi get more and more drawn to urban images...thanks
yes charlene that is excacly what happend,if it wasn't for that shaft of light i would have missed it myself.btw, got great plans for this scene in the autumn...
thank you liz you are very kind and yes i like to race along
i agree the trees could have been better placed rene, thought the blossom would offset it allbut to much?? i mean the church is just a silhouette and there's hardly any detail...depending on the light...100 paintings!thanks for your thoughts rene
thank you dean, the evening light was so nice...
Beautiful painting, Rob. I love the light in it.
hi edward, the light picked out that little tree perfectly
"didn't get further than the parking lot, this little perky blossom was winking at me.."Yes blossom has that effect doesn't it?
yes keith, and the thing is i'm terrible at painting blossoms, they always come out to sweety sweet...just can't resist
