HOT!!!

today was the hottest day in Wales...since records began...ever!!
good time to catch those sheep unaware...

I had to give up on painting on Wednesday, I was wilting in the heat. I don't know how you could bear it! It obviously didn't affect your painting ability - lovely piece!

We are getting record breaking cold snaps in some parts of South Austrlia....brrrr!!!

it is better than the freezing winter...lots of people pay good money for this weather!

Rob, I like your painting very much. You have a wonderful composition with great aerial perspective. Do you tone your canvas before painting? The soft purple "over colour" I am seeing nicely unifies the painting and sets a beautiful mood.

(We've had a very hot spell here in Canada, July 14-23 I was involved in a paint-out and in that duration, I only produced 2 paintings--just too hot)

yes,i prime my boards with either a weak orange or pink,this will break up the many greens of summer
this together with a limited palette of just three colors enables me to create harmony.

2 paintings on one day,sounds like a result to me,especially on a hot day!!
