Tulpen

.
oil on panel 6x8"
.
where ever we live,i make sure to plant some tulips
yes,a bit of holland in the garden,
not as many as rene has been painting,
but still enough to warm the old cockels
after a cold dark winter.
so much fun putting on pure pigments!

pure pigments? like decorating a cake with cherries, a delight and a wonderful painting as a result:)

These small pieces of yours that shimmer with vibrant colour are always a pleasure. I particularly like the way you have introduced some foreground darks that set off the rich colours really well.

Hey Rob!... What am "I" to believe Mate? On your last visit "You" said you'd rather be painting... than planting!HAHA!!!

Just goes to show you.... "You" can do both!

Seriously... a joyously colourful wee piece! Nicely done!

Good Painting!
Warm regards,
Bruce

Oh beautiful colours Rob even though they're not as much as Rene's! Love your landscapes that record the seasons so faithfully!

Nothing says Spring better!

Your arrangement - looking a bit down, so the tulips are backed by the sun brightened grass - makes a great display of their color.
