winter morning

oil on panel 8x10"
.
and now for something a bit more sunny,
.
so if you are still planing for your 2010 holidays...
and fancy enjoying learning and painting a slice of heaven...
.
experience the thrill and beauty of a wonderful part of Italy,
take memories you've created home with you!
.
This workshop is for beginners to advanced artists
and will be conducted on outdoors location.

Picture Yourself...

among the sights and sounds of beautiful and romantic Tuscany: olive groves, vineyards, centuries-old buildings, winding streets, texture and vibrant sunlight.

Feel Yourself...

in the warm ambiance of Cortona, overlooking Lake Trasimeno and the Val di Chiana, originally fortified by the Umbrians, claimed by the Etruscans, touched by the Renaissance, almost unchanged for centuries, one of Tuscany's jewels.

Experience...

the joy of painting en plein air in a relaxed and inspiring atmosphere with expert instruction and the camaraderie of a small group of learners.

Enjoy...

great Italian food, delightful wines, new friends, breath-taking vistas, history and the hospitality of the people of Cortona.

Really enjoy the colour range in this picture. You do anexcellent job in promoting your Italy trip. Pity I'm committed elsewhere at that time.

A truly beautiful painting Rob, and I would dearly love to join you in Tuscany (looove Italy!) and learn how to paint landscapes properly! but I think you know that our exchange rate, airfares, visas, etc put it totally out of reach! Please remember to post lots and lots of paintings when you're there.

do you mean you were in toscani painting?

Bruce Sherman said...

Hi Rob!..... Yes I did paint in Tuscany, Venice, Ravenna, Padua and San Leo in 1989. I stayed in Venice for eight weeks finishing up my Art History degree at Queen's University...I travelled...and "painted my brains out" nearly 24 hours a day for the time I was there!

I would have to say that this experience was the pivotal point in my decision to become a full time artist... after a 27 year teaching career.
