I love this painting and was trying to think of nice words for drab, grey, foggy drizzle... Then I remembered 'Scotch mist' -- the term my grandmother used, quite fondly, as I recall.

I love your car paintings and was just remarking to a friend of mine that your car paintings are so successful ...no doubt because you have carefully paid so much attention to light on natural objects. I feel sorry for painters who don't paint from life..! Your work is a perfect example of how painting from life gives work done from photos vitality.

Yes you have caught the atmosphere and the weather perfectly

Misty veils are mysterious to me. Not at all drab!!
you've definately caught the atmosphere and i love those sheepy shapes in the grey. from your description i thought you were in scotland:)))
I like the ay you have managed to create a feeling of depth here even though the value range is not very wide.
A fine picture,these atmospheres do not exist in the Mediterranean.
We're so lucky to have distinct seasons. There's always something new to look forward to.

Great gray mist..! totally beautiful.
The mood and palette is gorgeous Rob but what I learn from you here is that slight tint of yellowish colour still left in the trees there. Perfect!
