I find it hard to get clusters of flowers to look right but you have got these flowers in the forground standing out from one another. Each is so distinct around the trunks, so delicate. annie
I echo the comments above, particularly with regard to colour. Have you changed the colour of your underpainting? I love the recession and the way you have altered the value of the flowers as they move back in the scene. Do you do this with the addition of complementaries or something like Payne's?
it was a big wood full of them keith,now a few years ago i would have painted the whole lot, now a days i've learned my lesson,just be lazy,you can't do it all!
no mick it is still orange/pink. do you mean payes grey? if so,no way,i don't need earth colors to create mud,that happens by itself quite easely,hahaha just use a complimentary color to dull it down,maybe a bit of white but not to much...

they drive me mad sarah,every year i can't paint nothing but blue bells i have to paint them,they last so short and don't get any easier...cheers!
annie i just paint colors don't even look what it is,just colors and values...your eyes are filling me in...thanks for the hard work,hehe

there's a background light here..and it's beautiful. You know how to choose a subject!

i had to walk around a bit for this one fabio,finding the right composition is one of the hardest part for me still

i used to ose p grey a lot,especially the racing cars,but don't need it any more,i find it more interesting mixing my own darks
