I recognize the spot it's a great place to paint! I reckon it will be a great place all year round although spring is sooo fresh and new, just like your new spot Rob, enjoy both of them.
Hello Rob Just come across your blog through Fábio Cembranelli blog. It is good to meet a fellow Artist based in the UK, and I must say I do enjoy your work immensly. Please allow me to follow your blog. Best Regards
I don't usually like bright greens in a landscape -- but yours are wonderful! I have another 2010 Olympics painting up this week -- hope you'll go ahead with the 2012 Olympics series your hinted at. I see them as updated Monets...
acrylics are good for keeping things fresh sheila. i don't use them much outside, they don't behave well under different kind of weathers... and yes spring is just sooo fine!
it was indeed a lovely spot keith and because i was sitting down,i didn't get any onlookers as supposed to standing behind my easel like a bill board...
Great colors in this painting! came over from another blog. Your last name looks Dutch (from Frisian descent)? I'm a Dutch (now artist) and I've lived for 20 years in Los Angeles.
yes jeanette, the Ijbema's have been coming from friesland since 1440! this example however comes from amsterdam and now lives in beautiful wales... we get everywhere dont we? thanks for the compliment!
