Blackbird

blackbird,
every garden should have one,
its fruity song,
one of the finest sounds around...

Your beautiful warm painting looks like spring is a lot further along in Wales than here on the west coast of Canada (the advantage of such a late spring is that trees that usually flower in stages over a couple of months have all blossomed together in the last couple of weeks... but it's still cold!) I have a Passion for Painting Award waiting for you on my blog. Check it out for details

Hello! I found your blog from Charlene Brown's blog, and wanted to say how much I admire your paintings. The sense of space and light in them lifts my spirits. Here in the Midwest of the United States spring seems to be taking its sweet time to arrive.

glad to have given you a touch of spring sherry!
can't ask for more really.
thank you.

Hi Rob!

My life keeps getting in the way of blogging and I've missed seeing your beautiful paintings.

This painting has the same feeling of movement in the trees that your race cars do (which I love to see). And the blackbird adds that extra spot of interest to this painting. Lovely!
