Your development of snow lighting is inspiring. I see a progression looking back at your snow paintings as far back as 2007. Some like "Lambing" hint at your future and these sunny snow paintings are truely evolving mastery.
Burrr, if I was standing next to this painting I would expect to be shivering and to see my breath. Great job capturing the chill. The pink underpainting was an excellent choice!
What fantastic light you've got in this one. One beautiful painting. (I've been in the northern hemisphere 2 weeks and am now tired of the snow! How do you guys cope with it???)
mike i don't go far to paint the landscape, don't need to,plenty of nice stuff in walking distance...alas no castles in my neighbourhood,would be nice though,a nice moody castle...

the pink underpainting seems to work with all kind of weathers,from sun to foc and even nucturnes
we don't have that much liz,nothing compared with sweden or norway,it makes for a nice change from grey days...
I am visiting my sister-in-law who has spent a lot of time in Wales visiting the castles and she wants to know where your castle pictures are.
