South Coast

Camber Sands,a small but nice strech of sand amongst the endless pebble beaches on the south coast, hunting ground of Fred Cummings an amazing painter, worth looking up!!
This day we were blown of the beach,it was sooo windy...hence the spectacular kites...
oil on canvas 9x12"

This is Peace Heaven,a pretty name for a very ugly place, despite the white cliffs....
painted this just at the right time...oil on canvas 9x12"

Wow, these pictures explode with colors. The beach scene is so wonderful. A very good balance between sharp and soft edges. Very well done.

had to go back and look again...wasn't aware of those edges, however i'm mindfull my work needs more sharper edges...

HI Rob, looks like you had a wonderful holiday! Love all the paintings, it's always great to get a change of scenery isn't it...sort of rev's up the creative juices. I particularily like the fun feel of the beach with the kites, and the colours on your sunset are a treat. It doesn't look like an ugly place the way you've painted it.
