Hastings

Hi all,we are back from our 2 week trip along the the South-East coast of England, spend most of our time socialising, visiting old friends, drinking and...well you know...
The weather wasn't too bad, didn't manage to do much painting, wich was allright,it was nice to have a break.

Hastings...steeped in history,1066 and all that, this must have been a beautifull place in its day...now a run-down sea-side resort with lots of arcades and ugly tourists...oil on panel 5x8"

Wow! Rob, these recent paintings are stunning. I love your painting of the kites, too. You really captured the feeling of a bright, windy day!
