Summer shade

Another frustrated attempt at a studio painting (dark days remember)
It wasn't that bad actually ,the memory of summer was quite nice.
How about the knive work,Rene?
oil on 10x12" canvas


after some usefull comments,i've tweaked this one a bit,especially the contrast!

What about it, i don't know.
It depends on how you find it.
The very thin line from the wire i like, the white/blue lines from the fence i don't know. the photo is a little to fuzzy to have a clear look.

You like the knife?

I like it but I can't see the knife strokes too well. It looks like a pretty summer day, very calming and peaceful.

only teasing Rene,i did the fence wire with a bit of cardboard...

yes the knive feels like it has a lot more control than the long thin ones,i used to use...well,tried anyway.
