sun and geese

 oil on panel 7x9"

the sun was out and i treated myself to a nice bike ride
feel a bit under the weather with this flu bug going round...
still...managed to put some colors down...
but couldn't be bothered to finish it.

You may not have finished it but it passes the 'squint' test and reads as an interesting piece. Geese always remind me of a well known Guthrie painting called 'To Pastures New'. Lovely control of colour.

Sorry to read that you haven't been feeling well. I hope you are recovering now. This is a fun subject for a painting, the reflection of the geese in the puddles add a lot of interest.

It looks finished to me! Beautiful color; you captured the essence of these geese enjoying the sun. No need to add anything.

Love the abstract shapes Rob and that "sunshine after showers" feel is wonderful. This is moody too but a "fresh" mood - promises of spring at last.

Hi Mate!.... What you mentioned you lacked in stamina for this piece certainly isn't at all evident in the final product!

Great spring colour! Cheery!

Get well!

Good Painting!
Warmest regards,
Bruce
