this is wonderful Rob: the energy of the skating seems to swirl around the painting!

This is very nice and full of atmosphere. There is a real feeling of a park surrounded by a town, even though there is only a suggestion of buildings.

Très joli paysage. Excellente idée d'avoir peint les oiseaux dans le côté gauche, ce qui assure un excellent équilibre au tableau!

Hi there Rob!... Love the muted and subdued greys and atmosheric very Lowland quality of this piece.

The well executed active skating figures add ... just the right dash of verve and colour to balance the quietness of the overall mood! Very festive! Very Fun!

Good Painting!
Warmest regards,
Bruce

Love the play of verticals and horizontals and the way your dark neutrals make the colors pop.

I'm really digging how you painted the bare branches on the trees. You didn't paint every branch but laid down just enough brush strokes to indicate them and still kept their transparent feeling. Very nice. The spots of color you added for the crowds is wonderful too. You are on a roll Rob, one successful painting after another.

kim painting the braches that way takes the hard work out of it and i think it looks more natural as well!
