Rob--I'm back after a long absence, but it was great to catch up with your work. I find the "step by step" post helpful, however incomplete. I like the "gesture" work. I always start out that way but get sucked up by the details before I really finish the gesture work. One can get really fouled up that way, but I'm getting better. Check out my recent posts.

Hi Rob. It`s a great warm up painting. At first I thought it was a pastel painting which would have been unusual for you mate. All the best Rob.
Vic.

And a very good warm-up it was too, Rob. Tony has just posted a link on pleineire.ning.com to a load of photos of the festival (http://pix.ie/tonyrobinson/album/384440).

A great piece, Rob, it looks to good to be a warm up! Good choice of composition, my eye really travels into the piece and through the archway. Very good use of light as well, well done!
