.
the evenings seem to last forever these days
so nice to be out,be among all this wonder...
.
.
managed to take some pics of the steps i take
here i loosely draw in the scene with very thinned paint
(perm red with cad yellow)
.painting in the darks (perm red, ultra m. blue, bit of yellow, bit of white)
paying close attention to the values
.
adding colors...and then i got lost in it all and forgot to take more pics
still hope this gives you a rough idea..

Hi Rob!... A great post Mate! Always enjoy seeing another artist's process from the inside out.
"You" covered yours perfectly... even without the words.
Design first ... through "massing". Then values...establishment of light patterns. A few deftly placed eye-catching strokes... then sign 'er!
A simplified textbook lesson "en plein air"... and "We"... were there! Thanks for sharing!
Good stuff! A "gem'!
Good Painting!
Warmest regards,
Bruce
Delightful picture and for we learners a valuable source of advice about your process. Thanks.
It's nice to see how you produce these little gems.
"...and then i got lost in it all and forgot to take more pics"
Ha, ha, yes it's not easy photographing work-in-progress.

Hi Rob!
Like it has been said before: Thanks for showing the process. Do you work only with this limited palette?
The painting has a lot more mood that the photograph. Well done.
