the sparrowhawk

oil on panel 5x8"
finishing off this painting,i was thinking of a title, something like, boring lane or flat, flat light,
as suddenly all the little singing birds went quiet and there it was,
the title for my painting
shooting just a few inches off the ground,a sparrowhawk following the road,
no doubt trying to surprise those singing birds
so exciting!

Oh wow Rob - this is great. I am in awe of the way you can see and paint landscapes from life - I am so battling with this plein air stuff!

It's moments like this that make 'plein air' so worthwhile isn't it Rob.
