That's a dramatic painting Rob. Even though it's a grey day, it's full of colour compared with the foggy December paintings.

Hi Rob, gosh you make everything look so cold and bleak in Wales! Love the Dark Days, all wet and thundery and your snowstorm is quite frightening! I remember Wales as being sunny with lots of mountains and signposts I couldn't understand.

you were lucky liz,a lot of the time the weather is crap but hey! the wetness makes it so lush and green,we've got color all year round...and i would miss the seasons

You are lucky having such extremes of weather to paint - that sky is fantastic! Not so easy having to sit outside in all weathers though! My mum and dad used to live in Wales and the one thing I remember about it is it was always raining!

yes annie it can be grey but never a dull...
i was stading just by the boot of the car,for cover ,i knew i would get a few showers

Both are wonderful, Rob. But Dark Days really speaks to me. Got some tension going on there.

thanks bill
yes dark days was a weird one
didn't go anywhere, didn't fight it,then it suddenly clicked...

The two moods cannot be more different. It is great how you capture these specific sensations. I like the first one especially.

hi stefan,
yes that is what makes painting landscapes so interesting, the weather, vielen dank!
