old man

oil on canvas 7x10"

it was lovely to be out in the park,
(sounding like an old farth myself)
one of those paintings when you never want it to finish.
and....didn't get rained on!

It's a great painting Rob! A nice sunny autumn day. Looks like you even had to lubricate your sunscreen.

Beautiful play of light and shadow -

I like the simple color scheme. It creates a very stong image. Very well done.

thanks cara, that was what attracted me to the scene!

hi stefan
back lichting takes a lot of the colors away creating that strong image, thanks!

Rob you are so funny - and you will be an old farth one day I'm afraid just like so many of us. The painting I really like the way the tree on the right has a diagonal shift to it across the top of the picture plane. It gives the whole thing energy. Colours magical as usual. Maybe if I give up brews I'll be doing mine in an hour!

Sorry, I meant the tree on the left! Please refer to my first sentence.

you've got me all confused and looking for my zimmerframe sheila
yes i don't think the picture would be the same,if the tree had been straight.
you keep having your brews and take your time,no rush!
