Rob - Tonight I sat outside and watched my own harvet moon for quite some time. There is something so enchanting about this particular moon - almost as though it loves us. Your painting is wonderful -

yes what is it about the harvest moon?
i was so lucky to have the only clear night of the week to paint this...

Rob--I love the fell of this. We get the H Moon here in Maine, but it's a lot different--more red, more "present." After seeing this, I think we may be missing something.

Hello Rob, I haven't looked here since you went to Cornwall. I think the Caithness wind must have gone there for a holiday too!

I know what you mean about the moon. Maybe there's something in our ancestry that draws us to it.

yes the wind kinda blew me this way...

Hey, Rob. I've been too pre-occupied lately to catch your blog. And have I been missing out! This harvest moon painting is stunning. Sky is so beautifully modulated and the moon is perfect. I love that moonlight on the little road and gate. Good stuff!

Hi Rob,
Man, I missed it this year but managed to do one just before it and was happy. We've bee getting some great full moons lately but tonight it's overcast and raining here.
Excellent work on this one Rob.
