Spring

We are having an interesting spring this year, woke up this Sunday and it had been snowing...
not much,but enough...oil on canvas 6x10"

This spot gets the latest light, this time of year,a lovely view over Llandrindod wells,a crappy little town that looks best from a distance...oil on canvas 6x10"

When the light went out,the lambs were still having the time of their life, playing all around me.

Don´t worry about that. I am very cautious. When I visit your blog, and René`s, I cover the keyboard with a towel. I can´t buy a new one every day.

Beautiful work, Rob. Your car paintings are really nice as well (on the other blog). You are truly an amazing guy. Whoops, now there's drool on my keyboard too. Steve

I like the second one in particular. I wanted to see it bigger but I couldn´t. Did you do this on purpose?

Hello Rob, the same is happening with the weather up here. It does give a few last chances for painting snow though!
I like the first picture, there is a nice narrative quality about it, with a feeling that there are children around just out of view.
I don't remember Llandrindod Wells being that bad, but I suppose it was over ten years ago when I saw it. I hope the locals are forgiving!
I really like the last one, it's an interesting composition and such a typical subject for the time of year. Isn't it funny to watch them in their gangs, running up and down?

Rob, You are such a great artist! I just love your paintings! I can see why Pablo dribles when he looks at them! I am so glad I found your blog.

Rob, great colours and atmosphere as always. You have a skill with capturing the moment in light. By the way, although the kids preference is for the play station I bet you sneak out and have a go on the old tyre don't you..

nah,prefer the playstation myself Sheila.
if it's got atmosphere and light i am happy
thanks!

Rob, I really like the light and colour in the one of Llandridod wells. Not an easy time of day to catch the light I would guess, but you got it.

Rob--wonderful atmospheric stuff. I've not been to Wales yet, but some of the feeling you capture reminds me of Ireland before the sun comes out. Even a crappy little town can be evocative...

yes i had a tough time trying that last fast disappearing glow,
3 days in a row it took...
cheers skips
