another snow flurry, painted this from my studio window, brrr ,it was horrible outside, you wouldn't see me out there...daft chickens. wanted to stretch the values all the time but they simply weren't there... acrylic on paper 7x5"
Its a little gem Rob! The values are right. If you had stretched them it would not have had that "true" feeling that it brings. It's perfect. And I think this is one of the things that happens when you work plein air!!
That was a difficult subject Rob, but you've done a good job with it. There is a nice sense of the snow blowing around and the greyed-out atmosphere. I think you should have brought the chickens indoors with you though!

Wonderful depiction of a tough scene to capture Rob! You managed to nail down the temperature and mood.
The limited value range is true to the snowy day.
I think.
It has been so long.
Great little piece Rob.
thank you Sheila,i'm glad i controled my self,it was truly horible out there...
ok i chickend out Rene, one coffee in my hand was better than 5 chicken outside!
the painting wouldn't be the same without those chicks Keith, they often try to get inside but the dog keeps them out..
thanks Cooper, yes not easy to paint this kind of scene,no color no depth...
hi Frank, not easy but it was a nice change from all them sunny colors.

Oh no, I forgot the towel!
I like the title as well as the painting! : )
It really feels like snow, you did a great job with the limited range of values.
