hi keith,i has to be late afternoon dashes, the kids are home for Easter...not complaing though, the light is the best ps did you have a look at the link?
Yes thanks Rob. I already knew about Wet Canvas, but I've been spending more time getting to know people at Art Forums UK. I'll have to start looking there again.
By the way, I've had a look in the garden and the daffodils should be out in a week or so, if we have a bit of sunshine.
didn't paint it wet into wet Diane, that is what i like about acrylics, you can apply the next passage so quickly, also why i don't like to take them outside much, they dry a bit to quick, especially on the palette, despite misting... anyway, yes i was pleased with the light, thanks!

Hello Rob. I like the way you've caught the late afternoon light in this one, and I really like all the touches of colour in the shadows.

yes wc is a good place to learn, some incredible painters there, sharing their knowledge...
yes spring is really happening...at last!
Nice combination of colors and good atmosphere, Rob.
Love this Rob -
thanks pablo,i'm not to happy about this one,to bitty and i could have done with half the strokes, still good experience and i managed to stay dry!
thanks Cara, you are to kind, see comment above...
considering that you did it at home, it still has a very fresh air feeling to it. Nice job Rob.
true sally,a good point...for both of us.
cheers!
Hey Rob, Great light in this piece. The textures are also spot on! I think you are a bit farther into spring than we are here in Maine.
one daffodil doesn't make spring Cooper, the weather goes from winter to summer in a day, flying by like april showers.
The vibrancy of color is wonderful. And some of your previous posted paintings are also great. In particular the one of the lambs.
hi Stefan,wie gehts?
it's that electric light before the storm, good to know you like it.

Wet into wet acrylic painted transparently with strokes of accents leads to a magical lighting. I like this very much.
