tree study


just a little acrylic study 5x7"
it's looking like summer allready out there.

It certainly is looking like summer...oh the greens, the greens! This is a nice little tree study. hey, thanks for the tips... I sorted out an outdoor painting kit...forgot how much i love it out there.

hi rene,yes i treated the paper with acrylic gesso,mixed with pummice,that is a kind of wall filler and toned it orange/pink.
acrylics dry so flat,it can do with a bit of body...

yes jennifer that is the thing i have to work on,cool colors,grey's,contrast,bolder strokes and and ....

A very good colour combination, I think! And the blue background is a real attraction to this prefect simple composition!

Rob - this is wonderful. I love the heavy use of green in your work - its a hard color to control. Nobody doesn't like you do.
