everything is just sooo springie!

This was though, such a complicated scene, had to tell myself, simplify, simplify and simplify!
oil on panel 8x10"

Apart from that, the high school was just round the corner and ofcourse they had their lunch break, just as i finished my block in,hundreds of teenagers taking the piss....nah,they were allright actually!
My heavy legs from the football, last night and the sun going in and out were more of a pain.

Wow Rob!!

Was this your first time cityscape?
How did you like it?
Are you going to do it more often now?

I love it, such rich color use.

Indeed Simplify, simplify and simplify !!

Maybe also in the subject, ...
go for the mood i would suggest, little intimed scenes such as that lovely picnick.

you should remember Amsterdam Rene.
but haven't done many,so much to take in and so different to what i'm used to,that it is hard to get a mood or atmosphere, keep trying i guess.and keep looking at Trevor C.

Indeed, but with a little luck, you should be on the right place, the right time in the right mood someday.

Oooh Amsterdam, how did i forget that, ... although it doesn't feel the same as this painting.

Keep at it Rob!

don't know about luck, some better drawing skills and lots of practise might help....

Wonderful painting for the eyes to behold! I love the photo of the scene - allows for appreciation of your ability to record the beauty rather than just details.

Luck is also needed, just to look at the right time to the right direction is luck. What's life without luck?

i'm glad you like it cara,
the beauty attracted me to this little street as for my ability
i like to do it a bit better, don't we all!

ofcourse Rene, without luck you never win!
but some ground work first

i'm very hard on myself
and yet i paint soft paintings...
how does that work?

I enjoy your vision and what a treat fto see so many works since last November when I last visited your blog.

Your Wales reminds me of the atmosphere where I live in the Pacific North West of the United States.
I was so happy to find a note with your URL in my studio when I was cleaning it up today.

I think your painting looks better than the real thing.

Have you noticed how the trees are absolutely LOADED with blossom this year? I've always wanted to do one of these street scenes with blossom but never got round to it - well done you!

Hi Katherine, can't ignore those blossoms, they make for super sweet paintings, but what the heck!
