summer lane...step by step...

here are some progress shots;


first i loosely sketch the scene,with some thinned paint,just finding the major shapes,leaving details well alone!


blocking in the main shadow areas,the paint is still very thin,transparent and no white in the mixtures,so this will be dry before the next layers....

now blocking in the other areas,trying to leave space between the colors,so i can easely change my mind,every new color will effect the other ones! also leaving the overwhelming greens till last...
trying to find the right colors,i won't progress further 'till all the colors work together! really like this stage,maybe,after a few more touches, i should have stopped here....the rest is just fussing!
